PENCIL CONTROL EXERCISES
Every chapter starts with a crucial exercise in pencil control. This exercise is designed to introduce the letter that the chapter is dedicated to. The shapes drawn in this section are carefully selected and arranged to form the letter being studied. By practicing these exercises, the child will gain a better understanding of how to create the letter and will have a solid foundation for the lessons that follow.
LETTERS AND GUIDES
In each chapter, large and clearly labeled upper and lowercase letters with arrows and numbers are presented to guide the reader in writing the letter. These letters can be traced with a finger or any writing tool for hands-on practice. A picture of an object that starts with the letter being studied is included, with the first lines filled with grayed letters and dots to help with placement and proportion.
LETTER TRACING
To further reinforce learning and build muscle memory, the following pages of each chapter contain ample writing practice opportunities. Your child will find 18 lines in total, including both dotted and blank lines, ready for use. These lines provide a structured and consistent space for your child to hone their writing skills and perfect their letter formation.
ENGAGING ACTIVITIES AND COLORING PAGES
To keep the learning experience engaging and enjoyable, letter tracing pages are interspersed with activities. These activities add a fun and interactive element to the learning process, making it more memorable and enjoyable for children. At the end of each chapter, a coloring page is provided which features three objects that begin with the letter studied in that chapter.
SPECIAL VISITORS
To motivate learning and build excitement, after every 5 letters your little learner will receive a visit from a special guest. This guest brings a unique award in the form of a badge, designed in simple shapes such as a circle, oval, square, triangle, or heart. This badge is meant to be colored and cut out, allowing your child to proudly display their accomplishments to family and friends.
SCISSOR SKILLS
In addition to the badges, the book also features square puzzles that can be cut out and glued onto a special page at the end of the book. These puzzles come together to form a larger picture that can then be colored. THE ALPHABET HANDWRITING PRACTICE PAPER
This is an accompanying book to “The Big Book of Letter Tracing and Other Fun Activities”. In this book, you’ll find:
- The first page is the whole alphabet to trace (uppercase and lowercase letters)
- After the first page, there are 52 pages with dotted lines and big letters in the corner showing how to write that letter. There is an uppercase letter on the left page, and on the right page, there is a lowercase letter. Then that letter is written in the first line as an example and is followed by 3 dotted fading letters to trace. The rest of the page is filled with dotted lines to practice writing that particular letter.
- Pages with letters are followed by 50 blank pages with dotted lines where a child can write anything.
